Al Reinhart Bio Overview
Albert J. Reinhart, patent attorney, consultant, and educator/mentor, assists clients successfully navigate the challenging intersection of business, technology, and law. His professional career started in 1968 as an airborne radar design and development engineer in the defense industry and progressed through marketing and business development positions in the computer industry. In 1980 he became an independent, interdisciplinary management and information technology consultant and mentor specializing in strategic planning, business development, technology management, and systems development.
In 2008 he became a licensed attorney and focused his law practice on the identification and protection of intellectual property, commercialization of technology, and business law. He is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
He has earned a BSE in Electrical Engineering, MS in Computer Science, MBA in Operations Research/Project Management, post MBA Certificate of Advanced Study in Financial Analysis/Management, and Juris Doctor. He has taught graduate courses in Computer Science at Boston University and Software Engineering, IT Management, and Information Assurance at Brandeis University. He is actively involved with the IEEE's public policy and intellectual property committees, and is a member of the American Bar Association's Intellectual Property Section.
